- Fertilised Oocyte divides into –> 2 embryonic layers

- Fertilisation of 2 Oocytes, by 2 Mature Spermatozoa

A
1) Dichorionic-Diamniotic (DIZYGOTIC Twins)
- Twins have 2 Separate Placentas, but SHARE Amniotic Sac
2) Monochorionic-Diamniotic
- Twins share SAME Placenta, but have own amniotic sac
3) Monochorionic-Monoamniotic
- Twins SHARE BOTH Placenta + Amniotic Sac

A
- Regular Visits - check for twin-twin transfusion
- Vaginal Delivery - ONLY for DIAMNIOTIC Twins with fetus in vertex presentation
- C-Section - For Monochorionic- monoamniotic twins, Breech Presentation
- Induction of Labor - For Dichorionic-diamniotic twins
