Explain what happened in the Hyksos invasion of Egypt. Include Pharaoh Ahmose.
Prince Ahmose led the invasion and liberation of Egypt and established the New Kingdom of Egypt. The Hykos were West Asian people who controlled lower Egypt during the second Intermediate Period. Ahmose led a military campaign and expelled the Hyksos from Egypt.
