What does VUCA stand for and what is the response to it?
VUCA stands for: V - Volatile U - Uncertain C - Complex A - Ambiguous
Response to VUCA is: V - Vision U - Understanding C - Clarity A - Agile
What is a waterfall method and where is it used?
The waterfall method is used when designing a software:
Needs analysis -> Analysis -> Development -> Testing -> Presentation
What are the charactersitics of an agile project?
- Repeating process, short iterations
- Collaboration
- Short in time
- Change is normal
- Implement changes easily
- Testing starts early and is a continuous process
- Simple communication
- Team works together at location
What are the scrum pillars?
- Transparency
- Inspection
- Adaptation
What are the different scrum roles?
- The product owner - determines “what” is being developed
- Scrum master - responsible for continuous improvement and coaches the team
- Development team - Determines “how” the development process should proceed
What are the 5 scrum events?
- The sprint
- The sprint planning
- The daily scrum
- The sprint review
- The sprint retrospective
In terms of SAFe ( Scaled Agile Framework ) what is a release train?
Combination of elements which when added together lead to project results
What are the differences between Kanban and Scrum?
Kanban is less strict and simpler than the scrum method.
In Kanban, there are no sprints.
What are the 4 types of teams used in the Spotify model?
- Squads - autonomous teams that are each responsible for a small portion of the end product.
- Tribe - multiple squads form a tribe
- Chapters - different chapters exist in the same tribe - chapter is a discussion between employees from different squats with the same expertise.
- Guilds - Groups of people from different tribes exchanging knowledge.
