What is done during the Sprint planing and who is participating?
The work to be done during the Sprint is planned through collaborative work of the entire Scrum Team.
What is the time-box of Sprint planing?
2 hours per week of Sprint.
= max 8 hours per 1 month long Sprint
What 2 core questions are answered at Sprint Planing?
1) What can be delivered in the increment resulting from the upcoming Sprint?
2) How will the work needed to deliver the increment be achieved?
Contribution of Development Team, Product Owner and Scrum team during Sprint Planing?
Development Team - forecasts the functionality that will be developed during the Sprint.
Product Owner - discusses what objective the Sprint should achieve; and what Product backlog items should be completed to achieve the Sprint Goal.
Scrum team - collaborates on understanding the amount of work for the Sprint.
What are the inputs in the Sprint Planing?
Product Backlog
The latest product Increment
Projected Capacity of the Development Team
Past performance of the Development Team
Who selects how many Product Backlog items will be selected for the Sprint?
The Development Team. Only they can assess what they can accomplish over the upcoming Sprint.
What is a Sprint Backlog?
The Product Backlog items selected for the Sprint

Sprint Planing second question - How will the chosen work get done?
Enough work is planned during the Sprint planing for the Development Team to forecast what can be done in the upcoming Sprint.
Until the end of the Sprint Planing, enough work is planned for a day or less.
If the Development team determines there is too much or not enough work, what can be done?
Development Team may renegotiate the selected Product Backlog items with the Product Owner.
The Development team may also invite other people to attend to provide technical or domain advice.
What is a Sprint Goal?
The Sprint Goal is an objective set for the Sprint that can be met through the implementation of Product Backlog.
It provides guidance to the Development team on why the Increment is being built.
When is the Sprint Goal created?
During the Sprint planing.
What else can a Sprint Goal be?
Any coherence that causes the Development Team to work together rather than on separate initiatives.
