Meaning of Transparency in Scrum?
Significant aspects of the process must be visible to those responsible for the outcome.
What is required for functional Transparency in Scrum?
These significant aspects have to be defined by a common standard so that observers share a common understanding on what is being seen.
Examples of Transparency in Scrum?
- A common language referring to the process must be shared by all participants.
- A common definition of “Done” needs to be shared by those doing the work and those accepting it.
What is Inspected in Scrum and why?
Scrum Artifacts and progress towards the Sprint Goal are inspected in order to detect undesirable variances.
How frequent should the Inspections be?
Frequent enough to discover unwanted variances, but not so frequent that it gets in the way of the work.
When are Inspections most beneficial?
When they are performed by a skilled inspector at point of work.
What happens if an undesirable variance is found in the process during the inspection?
The process or the material being processed must be adjusted - as soon as possible to minimize further deviation.
