Solution Focused Approach
Solution focused counseling is characterized by the counselor in a collaborative and/or one-down position. Students identify what works, discuss what has worked for them in the past, and discuss how they construct workable solutions in the future.

Person Centered Approach
Stresses that each person is capable of finding personal meaning and purpose in life, and that the self is an outgrowth of what a persona experiences. This theory evolving from the work of Carl Rogers (1961) focuses on the “core conditions” of genuineness, empathy, positive regard, and concreteness that are essential to all helping relationships and the counseling process.
