Don’t believe in Gods, but people. If al troubles in world are caused by humans than they can be solve by people…after death nobody really knows👉 there is no scientific evidence.

Is ow as 'antyesti' or 'the last sacrifice'- the cremation is like a sacrifice.

Prior to death...
Likes to die on bank of a sacred river, if poss. If not at home. Prayers are said for the deceased. Lamp lit and kept lit for 1st 3 days of death. Special waters from the Ganges may also be fed to dead.

After death...
Cremate body quickly👉hot country, fast decomposition. | Corpse bathed,anointed with sandalwood paste, shaved and wrapped in cloth. Garland of flowers placed on body.

Cremation...
Funeral procession led by eldest son. Body placed on funeral pyre, a bonfire of scented wood, with feet facing south, direction of Yama (god of death) Eldest son lights the pyre.

After cremation...
Family go home an wash and cleanse themselves👉symbol of purity and a new beginning. Ashes collected by eldest son and placed in a special area, ideally in the holy river Ganges. Family mourn for 12 days and perform sraddha rites.

The soul to pass from the status of Preta-ghost into the abode of the Pitrs-ancestors.

Hindu priest comes to home and cleanses relatives allowing them to return to normal life. This is called SAPINDIKARANA.

10 pindas(rice balls) are offered to help deceased acquire a new body for their next existence.
