Wealth
Usually an abundance of valuable material possessions; the state of being rich.
A great quantity/ an abundance of something, having plenty.
Poverty
Usually the state or condition of having little or no money, goods, or means of support, condition of being poor. (Poor circumstances)
To be in need; to want; lack; destitution; privation
What do we name it when the world sharply divided between rich and poor.
North South Divide
Absolute poverty
People who are totally poor, cannot live.
Relative poverty
People who are poor compared to those living around them.
Short-term aid
Given when a natural disaster hits a poor country e.g Tsunami
Long-term aid
Given to help poor countries overcome their long-term problems.
Causes of poverty…

When someone uses others for their own advantage or ‘exploits’ them for their own gain.
Zakah

Families to break, societies to suffer, and the economy to deteriorate.
Leads to addictions, depleted individual and family resources and creates a false economy and superficial jobs that add nothing to the local or national community.
Also promotes idea that man may take that which he has not earned or worked for!!
