French and Indian war
A war between Britain and the French and their Indian allies over land in North America.
George Washington
Was a major for the British. He worked under dinwiddie. Built fort necessity, after attacking the French, as a mock shift fort.
Albany plan of union
Was a failed idea to make one government for the thirteen colonies. Each colony would have representatives. They would make laws, raise taxes, and set up defense. None of the colonies approved.
Edward Braddock
English general who led an attack on fort Duquesne. Didn’t know how to fight in forest so the attack failed.
William Pitt
A bold British leader. Helped British win important battles. Helped British won Indian support, and took Indian support away from French. Captured fort Duquesne.
James wolf
Was to take Quebec. Came up with plan to attack from cliff where no soldiers were. They won the battle and took Quebec.
Marquis de Montcalm
Was supposed to guard Quebec from British hat tack but was over powered.
Plains of Abraham
Where the fighting of Quebec took place.
Treaty of Paris.
Ended French power in America. Gave Britain all French land east of Mississippi, gave Spain all French lands west of Mississippi, let France keep to islands. Treaty of peace between Britain and France
