Ethnocentrism - I believe that your culture is superior to others
Stereotyping - vision about a group of people the oversimplifies their characteristics
Prejudice - attitude about other people based on faulty and inflexible stereotypes
Discrimination - act of excluding people who are different from opportunities granted to others
Three Layers of diversity
know the different layers and each of their dimensions
External dimensions – income, location, personal & recreational habits, religion, work, educational background, appearance, family status, marital status, political orientation
Internal Dimensions – Age, gender, sexual orientation, cultural dimensions, mental ability, physical ability, ethnicity, race
Personality - represents your unique core personality and ways of experiencing, interpreting, and behaving in the world around you

Extrovert vs. Introvert
Sensor vs. Intuitive
Thinker vs. Feeler
Judger vs.Perceiver
Extrovert vs. Introvert - extrovert Focus out while introvert focus is inward.
Extroverts usually like working in groups while introverts usually do not
Sensor vs. Intuitive - A sensor sees facts and detail ,and an intuitive prefers the big picture
Group it’s important to see the big picture and the fine details.
Thinker vs. Feeler- thinkers are task-oriented and logical , feelers are people oriented and seek group harmony.
Judger vs.Perceiver - judger is structured and well organized, they plan ahead and follow to do lists. Perceivers are open - ended and are flexible and adaptable.

Generational Dimensions
a) 1965-1980
b) 1981-1999
1965-1980 - Gen X: tech savvy, era of video gamers, they are often skeptical and distrustful of institutions. Think that work isnt the most important thing in life.
1981-1999- Millenials- grew up with tech, confident and have high self esteem, collaborators in favor of team work
