Maintenance Roles – encourager, harmonizer, compromiser, tension release her, gatekeeper, observer, follower
Self-centered Roles - Aggressor, Blocker, Dominator, Recognition seeker, clown, deserter, help-seeker, Special interests pleader

know the 3 needs and the different members that make up each of these.
inclusion – our desire to belong, to be involved, and to be excepted
+ Social member – someone who enjoys working with people but is also comfortable working alone
- under social member – worthy or undervalued by the group and may withdraw and become a loaner
– over social – tries to attract attention to compensate for feelings of inadequacy.
I’ll need controlled need – whether we feel competent, confident, and free to make her own decisions.
+ democratic member – a person who has no problems with power and control and feels just as comfortable giving orders as taking them.
- Abdicrat – wants to control but is reluctant to pursue it, are often submissive members because they have no hope
– autocrat – try to take control by donating the group, criticize other members and tries to force their decisions
Affection need – our desire to be liked by other members
+ personal member - someone who has no emotional problems doing with the group members
- under personal - Believe no one likes them, only superficial relationships with other members, aloof and uninvolved
– over personal – too talkative, too personal, and overshares
