Q

Brake cooling after aborted Take off.

Other considerations.

A

50 mins after RTO above 80kts.
After any RTO, aircraft requires engineering inspection.
Hot brakes, ATC brake check? Consider not taxiing back.

22
Q

SID Climb Gradients

A

MCG for obstacle avoidance - OEI must be used, alternative procedure/actions in the event of EF?
MCG for ATC - AEO performance assumed

Perf calcs only cater for MCG up to 1,500ft AGL (based on Aerodrome level), if MCG extends above for terrain clearance, must check performance data.

Phenom
OEI climb gradient ~4.5% = 2.5 deg
AEO climb gradient ~19% = 11 deg

23
Q

OEI Climb Speed?

A

V2 - V2 + 10 to accel alt
Vfs = until end of NTOFP and obstacle clearance assured (eg. height 1,500ft or SALT if terrain a factor?)
Vfs + 10 = rule of thumb, until operating ALT (roughly same as drift down speed)

24
Q

SID QNH vs QFE

A

FMS assumes QNH set but NAV can be used still considering

For aerodromes above sea level… will result in delay to actions in the profile.

25
Q

Windshield heating and misting

A

Turn ON above FL150

Use CKPT temp Hi in climb?

26
Q

Noise Abatement procedures

1) NADP1 Close In
2) NADP2 Distant

A

1) V2 + 10 (AEO) to 1,500ft
CON/CLB, V2 + 10 to 3,000ft
Vfs F0 climb out

2) V2 + 10 (AEO) to 1,000ft
Vfs + 10 F0 CON/CLB to 3,000ft

27
Q

Performance Climb Speed

A

M0.55 above

28
Q

A

? set N1 and check vs table

29
Q

Nav Log requirements

A

Flying as GAT in airways:

Time at each waypoint
ATC clearances
freq changes

30
Q

Fuel Log

A

transit or nav sorties > 1hr or as required by captain
Actual vs Black line (+/-)
every 15-30 mins sufficient

31
Q

Min speed in cold temps

SAT or TAT?

A

New FRC amendment chart
SAT - 54C > M0.4
colder, must go slightly faster

Driftdown speed lower? Maintain M0.4 until out of temp range then revert to drift down.

Min fuel temp -36C

32
Q

Drift down speed and ALT
4300kgs
1) WINGSTAB OFF
2) WINGSTAB ON

Where is RVSM airspace?

A

Pre-flight:
Wx forecast moderate or severe turbulence?
MEL check A/C can meet requirements
pitot/static check, RVSM critical areas.

In flight:
2 independent ADC driven altimeters reading within 200ft
Autopilot
Auto height hold
height selector and alerter
Mode S or mode C altitude reporting

In RVSM Airspace:
Alt checked and recorded prior to entering
Level offs within 150ft

SUTTO
En-route
Approach

A

SUTTO:
Verify databases, route sense-check, check GPS position on map
Aux page: RAIM cx for destinations, CDI bar scaling AUTO

En-route: end of SID or 30nm ENR displayed.
Monitor GPS performance with traditional Navaids where possible.

Arrival. Load from database, direct to FAF not allowed.
31nm to destination or first point of STAR, HSI displays TERM
2nm to FAF; HSI displays correct approach type (can we fly LPV but down to LNAV minima?)

Loss of SBAS outside 1 min to FAF - HSI approach type Amber… 1 min to run APR ADVISORY / DOWNGRADE must be acknowledged and next best approach loads.
Loss of SBAS inside 1 min to FAF - no CAS message, 3D downgrades to LNAV, LNAV aborts.
Loss of SBAS inside FAF. 3D approaches abort.
