•Directs triage of all victims

Treatment Officer
- ensure you have sufficient personnel available to move victims to the treatment area
- coordinates the re-triage of all victims
- coordinates on-site medical care
FOG #6
Transportation Officer
- Communicate with FRCC to determine hospital availabilities and capabilities
- Coordinates, tracks and ensures transport of victims to appropriate medical facilities
- Records the triage tag number in destination hospital for each victim on the hospital transport log.

Staging Officer
- Coordinates activities in the staging area
- Ensures the personnel stay with their apparatus/vehicle unless otherwise directed

TRIAGE
Each victim should be triaged where they are found (unless a hazard exists)in less than
60 seconds
TRIAGE
____ = Immediate. Highest priority. Rapid transport needed
Red
• examples include Trauma alerts, airway obstruction, altered mental status, severe bleeding, and hypoxia
TRIAGE
___ = Delayed. Second - highest priority
Yellow
• Examples include stable head/torso injuries, eye injuries, tachycardia without hypotension, longbone fractures.
TRIAGE
___ = Ambulatory (minor). Allow for transport of higher priority patients
Green
• Example include walking wounded, minor fractures, lacerations without severe bleeding, minor burns, sprains, abrasions
