Leave me
And Pharaoh said, “Let me kill Moses, and let him call upon his Lord! I truly fear that he may change your traditions or cause mischief in the land.”
ذَرُونِىٓ
Vers 27
Arrogant one
Moses replied, “I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant person who does not believe in the Day of Reckoning.”
مُتَكَبِّرٍۢ
Vers 28
Who concealed
A believing man from Pharaoh’s people, who was hiding his faith, argued, “Will you kill a man1 ˹only˺ for saying: ‘My Lord is Allah,’ while he has in fact come to you with clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, it will be to his own loss. But if he is truthful, then you will be afflicted with some of what he is threatening you with. Surely Allah does not guide whoever is a transgressor, a total liar.
يَكْتُمُ
Vers 28
Because he says
A believing man from Pharaoh’s people, who was hiding his faith, argued, “Will you kill a man1 ˹only˺ for saying: ‘My Lord is Allah,’ while he has in fact come to you with clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, it will be to his own loss. But if he is truthful, then you will be afflicted with some of what he is threatening you with. Surely Allah does not guide whoever is a transgressor, a total liar.
أَن يَقُولَ
Vers 27
Indeed I seek refuge
Moses replied, “I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant person who does not believe in the Day of Reckoning.”
إِنِّي عُذْتُ
Vers 28
And Indeed he has brought you
A believing man from Pharaoh’s people, who was hiding his faith, argued, “Will you kill a man1 ˹only˺ for saying: ‘My Lord is Allah,’ while he has in fact come to you with clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, it will be to his own loss. But if he is truthful, then you will be afflicted with some of what he is threatening you with. Surely Allah does not guide whoever is a transgressor, a total liar.
وَقَدْ جَاءَكُم

With clear proofs

بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ

وَإِن يَكُ كَاذِبًا
Vers 28
Then upon him his lie (is)
It will be to his own loss

فَعَلَيْهِ كَذِبُهُ

There will strike you
then you will be afflicted

يُصِبْكُم

بَعْضُ الَّذِي

He is threatening you with

يَعِدُكُمْ

مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ

كَذَّابٌ
Vers 29
For you the kingdom is
Authority belongs to you ,
O my people! Authority belongs to you today, reigning supreme in the land. But who would help us against the torment of Allah, if it were to befall us?” Pharaoh assured ˹his people˺, “I am telling you only what I believe, and I am leading you only to the way of guidance.”
لَكُمُ الْمُلْكُ
Vers 29
Dominant
reigning supreme
O my people! Authority belongs to you today, reigning supreme in the land. But who would help us against the torment of Allah, if it were to befall us?” Pharaoh assured ˹his people˺, “I am telling you only what I believe, and I am leading you only to the way of guidance.
ظَاهِرِينَ

فَمَن يَنصُرُنَا
Vers 29
From the punishment of Allah
the torment of Alla
O my people! Authority belongs to you today, reigning supreme in the land. But who would help us against the torment of Allah, if it were to befall us?” Pharaoh assured ˹his people˺, “I am telling you only what I believe, and I am leading you only to the way of guidance.”
مِن بَأْسِ
Vers 29
If it came to us
if it were to befall us?
O my people! Authority belongs to you today, reigning supreme in the land. But who would help us against the torment of Allah, if it were to befall us?” Pharaoh assured ˹his people˺, “I am telling you only what I believe, and I am leading you only to the way of guidance.”
إِن جَاءَنَا ۚ

Not i show you
I am telling you only

مَا أُرِيكُمْ
Vers 29
Except what i see
what I believe
O my people! Authority belongs to you today, reigning supreme in the land. But who would help us against the torment of Allah, if it were to befall us?” Pharaoh assured ˹his people˺, “I am telling you only what I believe, and I am leading you only to the way of guidance.”
مَا أَرَىٰ
Vers 29
And I do not guide you
O my people, sovereignty is yours today, [your being] dominant in the land. But who would protect us from the punishment of Allāh if it came to us?” Pharaoh said, “I do not show you except what I see, and I do not guide you except to the way of right conduct.”
وَمَا أَهْدِيكُمْ
Vers 29
Except to the way of right conduct.” - to the path of right
إِلَّا سَبِيلَ الرَّشَادِ
Vers 30
He who believed said
And he who believed said, “O my people, indeed I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the companies1
الَّذِي آمَنَ
Vers 30
indeed I fear for you [a fate]
And he who believed said, “O my people, indeed I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the companies1 -
إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُم
Vers 30
like the day of the companies1 -
And he who believed said, “O my people, indeed I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the companies1 -
مِّثْلَ يَوْمِ الْأَحْزَابِ
Vers 31
Like the custom
Like the custom of the people of Noah and of ʿAad and Thamūd and those after them. And Allāh wants no injustice for [His] servants.
مِثْلَ دَأْبِ
Vers 32
And O my people, indeed I fear for you the Day of Calling
the Day of Calling
يَوْمَ التَّنَادِ
Vers 33
you will turn your backs fleeing
The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from Allāh any protector. And whoever Allāh sends astray - there is not for him any guide.
تُوَلُّونَ مُدْبِرِينَ
Vers 33
there is not for you from Allāh
The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from Allāh any protector. And whoever Allāh sends astray - there is not for him any guide
مَا لَكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ
Vers 33
any protector.
The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from Allāh any protector. And whoever Allāh sends astray - there is not for him any guide.
مِنْ عَاصِمٍ
Vers 33
And whoever Allāh sends astray
وَمَن يُضْلِلِ اللَّ
The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from Allāh any protector. And whoever Allāh sends astray - there is not for him any guide.

فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ
The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from Allāh any protector. And whoever Allāh sends astray - there is not for him any guide.
