Naas 4
the one who withdraws
ٱلْخَنَّاسِ
مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ
From the evil of the retreating whisperer
Naas 5
The breasts
صُدُورِ
الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ
Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -
Falaq 1
of the daybreak
ٱلْفَلَقِ
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ
Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
Falaq 2
(of) darkness - of the night
غَاسِقٍ
وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ
From the evil of that which He created
Falaq 3
It spreads/grows dark
إِذَا وَقَبَ
وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ
And from the evil of darkness when it settles
Falaq 3
The blowers/casting spells
ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ
وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ
and from the evil of those ˹witches casting spells by˺ blowing onto knots,
Falaq 4
In knots
ٱلْعُقَدِ
وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ
and from the evil of those ˹witches casting spells by˺ blowing onto knots/And from the evil of the blowers in knots
Ikhlas 2
the Sustainer ˹needed by all˺.- eternal refuge
ٱلصَّمَدُ
اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ
Allah—the Sustainer ˹needed by all˺.
Ikhlas 3
He begets not
لَمْ يَلِدْ
He has never had offspring, nor was He born.
Ikhlas 4
And he is not begotten
وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
He neither begets nor is born,
Ikhlas 4
And their is none
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
And there is none comparable to Him.
Ikhlas 4
equivalent
كُفُوًا
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
And there is none comparable to Him.
Masad 1
May… be ruined
تَبَّتْ
تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
Masad 1
ruined is he.
وَتَبَّ
Masad 2
will not avail him
مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ
مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
