what does the heart consist of?
A
four chambers- to upper chambers called the atria which receive blood from the body and the lungs and two lower chambers called the ventricles which pump blood to the lungs and body.

what does the right side of the heart do?
A
it receives deoxygenated blood from the body and then pumps it to the lungs so that the blood can get rid of the carbon dioxide that it is carrying and can pick up oxygen

what does the left side of the heart do?
A
it receives oxygenated blood from the lungs and pumps it to all parts of the body so that all body cells receive oxygen
