Women stayed at home looking after children. Women took on jobs of men during world wars. Some women were allowed to vote (1918). Many women wanted equality (1945). Women were given equal pay rights (1970).

Inclusivism - only one completely right others can still lead to God, others should be encouraged to convert
Religious Pluralism - many different religions all lead to God, each to be fully respected and treated equally

How can religion help community cohesion?

A

Council of Christians and Jews, Interfaith Network for the UK work together with other religious groups too
Sharing basic understandings that God created all humans equally. Celebration of religious festivals show unity/respect. Muslim Council of Britain encourages Muslims out of isolation. Encouraging representation of different groups allows good role models and unity
