Q

Why on earth would interstitial fliud flow INTO a venule?

A

osmosis- the venule has higher solutes (8% vs 1%), and there is no hydrostatic opposition because the fluid that came into the capillaries has leaked aout along with the pressure it was under

Q

What is the role of lymphatic capillaries?

A

Since more fluid enters tissues than leaves tissues, it absorbs the extra fluid and transports to thoracic duct where it is emptied back into blood
