What are some Muslim teachings about forgiveness?
A
- Allah is merciful and forgiving.
- If a person is truly sorry for their wrongs, forgiveness should be shown.
- Islam is a religion of peace and and submission to Allah.
- It says in the Qur’an you can take a life for a life, but it also says that if the victim’s family forgives the killer, their life can be spared.

What is restorative justice?
A
A system that is used to help offenders understand the impact of their actions. The offender and the victim can speak and share their thoughts which will hopefully lead to reconciliation.
