341 - Truck Company Responses

What’s types of emergency responses do Truck Companies respond to?

Answer 1

• Structure/Commercial Fires
• TC w/ trapped victims / rollover
• Any incident where USAR is requested
• FA no resent
  Mutual aid into neighboring cities responses will require BC approval
  Unless an OFD comp,any officer makes the MA request
  Then the truck be dispatched immediately, BC informed concurrently

What Public Service calls will the Truck company respond to both in Batallion and In 1st in district?

Answer 2

Within Battalion:
Ladder requests
Elevator rescue (1st in Engine as well)

Within 1st in district:
Non injury hazmat
Unknown odor investigation
FA w/ reset
CO alarm (ME as well if there is a medical component)
Water salvage
WIres down (no fire / no injuries)

CAD will not always recognize a truck response as defined in this policy. It is the truck Captains responsibility to respond to these calls while in quarters or available
