Given a scenario, configure SOHO multifunction devices/printers and settings.
What is full duplex and half duplex?
Full duplex is sending and receiving data at the same time. All modern NIC’s run in full duplex. Half duplex means that the device can send and receive, but not at the same time.
What does it mean to collate?
A collate option lets you specify the order in which multiple copies of a multi page document are printed. If this option is unchecked and you print 10 copies, each page will be printed ten times before the printer moves on. If the option is checked, the printer will print the full document before starting over.
What is orientation?
The orientation setting lets you specify whether to print in landscape or portrait mode.
Define quality.
This defines resolution, and more specifically what the DPI should be printed at.
What are the four types of device sharing?
Wired, wireless, Integrated print server, and cloud printing/remote printing.
Name the common wired sharing types.
USB, Serial, Ethernet.
Nam the common wireless sharing types?
Bluetooth, 802.11, infrastructure, and ad hoc.
