What is Human Resources?
The people who do the work for a business. They are the employees.
What is a Human Resource Plan?
A plan detailing the workers a business will need. E.g. how many, when, full time or part time and the skills they need.
What is a Function?
Different types of work that need to be done in a business. E.g. marketing, production and finance.
What might human resources have to think about?
Number of workers needed, full-time or part-time, zero hour contracts, times, where workers will work, skills needed, age, gender, ethnicity and what the business can afford.
When might a business need to review its human resource needs?
Workers may have to be replaced, business may grow or shrink, the method of production may change, the business may relocate and may have to recruit new workers, the budget avaliable for paying staff may change and changes in the law.
