A state of complete emotional, physical and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity
Define Exercise
Physical activity that maintains or improves health and/or fitness
Define Fitness
The ability to meet the demands of the environment

How well a task is completed
What does environment mean for a sports person?
The right emotional and physical shape to be able to do what your sport requires of you.
Explain how you maybe fit but not healthy
A person maybe fit for their sport but have a condition such as asthma which makes them not healthy. Another example if a sumo wrestler who is fit for their sport but by being so means they are very overweight and as a result not health.
How does exercise improve fitness?
By exercising we can improve specific components of fitness such as cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength

Exercise helps improve a person’s physical, social and emotional health.

The fitter you are for your sport the better you can perform. For example if rugby a fast and stronger player will have a better chance of winning in a tackle
