Defined as the difference between the desired output and actual output

Positive
Adds the achieved output to the desired output
Negative
Subtracts the achieved output to the desired output

A
Response of a system to a change from an equilibrium or to a steady state

Stability
A
An output is under control. A stable system produces a bounded output for a given bounded input.
Examples:
- Ship list, trim
- Aircraft pitch, rotation
