Q

What are the 5 steps of the user experience design process?

A

1- Research (Meet user/define user goals/define user challenges/form hypothesis)
2- Empathize (Be the user/build user personas/user scenarios/ user journey map)
3- Create (Wireframes, Moodbaord, Mockup, Prototype, Style-Guide)
4- Test (Usability tests, review metrics, track usage)
5- Develop (Usability tests, review metrics, track usage, inform next iteration)

Optional: Iterate

Q

Whats the difference between high fidelity prototype and the final product?

A

Almost the same, both are clickable and allow users to experience content. The difference is that the interface and backend are not tied together in the case of a prototype. Mainly to reduce development costs until the UI is approved.

Q

What is the difference between User-Centred Design (UCD) and Human Centred Design (HCD)

A

UCD: iterative design process where designers focus on the users (target audience) and their needs in each phase of the design process. The problem is that users are not designers and designers are not the intended users.
HCD: Create things based on general natural characteristics of human psychology or perception.

So the difference is that UCD focuses on a smaller set (target audience/users), HCD uses general natural tendencies.
