this position is for weak client who needs to lie down.
SUPINE
this position can be used to assess the wrist, neck and other upper and lower extremities
SUPINE
the patient will be lying down in the examination table, knees bent and legs separated, the feet should be flat on the table/bed.
DORSAL RECUMBENT
this is for the client who has a pain on the back or in the abdomen
DORSAL RECUMBENT
this examination is for head, neck, chest, lungs, heart extremities and peripheral pulse site
DORSAL RECUMBENT
useful for assessing the rectum; this position is embarrassing and uncomfortable for the clients, therefore if the client need to assume this position it has to be limited time as much as possible.
KNEE-CHEST
elderly client and client has cardiac and respiratory problems may also unable to do this position
KNEE-CHEST
the clients lies on the back on the edge of the examination table and the feet are supported by the stirrups
LITHOTOMY
assessment for female genitalia, reproductive tracts and the rectum.
LITHOTOMY
the lower leg is slightly flex at the knee while the upper leg is flex at the sharper angle and foot forward; useful in assessing the rectal and vaginal areas
SIMS POSITION
this position is difficult for clients has joint problems and elderly clients
SIMS POSITION
Primarily assess the hip joint and also the back

Primarily assess the hip joint and also the back
