both worker representatives and management bargain to find a resolution
Threats of redundancies
threatening to eliminate employment positions if workers do not accept terms

Lockout
management locks up the company or factories preventing workers from entering thus not receiving pay
Closure
permanent or temporary shutting down a sitr (factory, plant, office)
