27. ADD TO W/ NOTES C.A of ejac duct, vas def, ureter. bladder, penis, Flashcards
summarry of classification of congenital anomalies of the ureter
- ureter anomalies of number
- solitary ureter
- complete duplication
- incomplete duplication
- ureter anomalies of size and form
- stenosis of pyelouretiric junction
- stenosis of uterovesicular junctin
- megaureter
- ureter anomalies of termination
- __stenosis
- ectopic urerer
- uterocele
1) ureter anomalies of number
solitary ureter
complete duplication
incomplete duplication
2) ureter anomalies of size and form
stenosis of pyelouretiric junction
stenosis of uterovesicular junctin
megaureter
3) ureter anomalies of termination
stenosis
ectopic urerer
uterocele
complete vs incomplete ureter
(anomalies in number)
Incomplete: Two separate ureters are attached to the same kidney but join together at some distance away from the kidney to form a single ureter that enters the bladder.
Complete: Two separate ureters lead away from the same kidney and remain separate.
C.A of bladder
C.A of the penis
torsion
agenesis⇔duplication
micropenis⇔macropenis
phimosis⇔paraphimosis
C.A of the Vas Deferens
cause
dg
rx
Bilateral Congenital Abscence of Vas Deferens
- caused by gene mutation
sx
- normal internal genitalia (normal testes w/ normal size and function)
- normal external genitalia
dg
- sperm analysis shows azoospermia
rx
surgical sperm retreival
C.A of Ejaculatory Duct
- why is it a surgically rxable reason for male infertility
- what is the Ejac duct
- sx
- type of US for dg
- findings
- rx
primary copmlaint is hypovolemia - below 1.5 ml
Rx is Trans Urethral Resection of Ejac duct orifices
phimosis vs para phimosos
Phimosis is when a foreskin can’t be pulled down (retracted) from the tip of the penis. This is a common problem in young boys.
Paraphimosis is when the foreskin is retracted but can’t move back up. This can prevent normal blood flow in the penis
