Seborrheic Keratosis
Superficial, raised epidermal growths with “stuck-on” quality like globs of wax
May crumble, flake, lift-off revealing superficial waxy character
Solar Lentigo
Flat, brown macules common on areas of extensive sun exposure (upper back, shoulders, chest) due to UV exposure
Skin Tags (Acrochordons)
Soft fleshy papules
Dermatofibroma
Single small round firm papule 0.5-1cm
Pink/Red/Brown, can be hyperpigmented
“Dimple Sign” - dimples when you squeeze around it
Keloid
Firm, hyperpigmented, pink/red plaque/nodule
Shiny/smooth surface
at site of previously known tissue trauma (cut, shaving, burn, acne, piercing)
Cherry Angioma
Shiny bright red papules
Pyogenic granuloma
ERUPTIVE, small solitary sessile/pedunculated vascular (RED) raised papule
Bleeds easily with trauma
Relatively quick onset (rapidly evolving)
Epidermal Inclusion cyst (EIC)
Mobile subcutaneous nodule with overlying punctum
Discharges foul smelling cheesy white material
Lipoma
Soft, ill-defined, rubbery, painless, subcutaneous nodule
Sebaceous Hyperplasia
Cream colored/yellow papule with central depression on face appearing after 40
Hemangioma
Present at birth/first few weeks - raised, soft, easily compressed
Slowly disappears spontaneously through childhood
