What is the Related t-Test
A
- The Related t-Test is used in repeated measures designs.
- It is a test of difference (or similarity) for repeated measures or matched pairs designs.

A
- When you have interval or ratio data which is normally distributed.

What is the Unrelated t-Test
A
- The Unrelated t-Test is used in independent measures designs.
- It is similar to the Related t-Test. The main difference is that in the Unrelated t-Test, there should be 2 separate groups of P’s (ie. unpaired).

What is the Mann-Whitney Test
A
The Mann-Whitney Test is a test of difference (or similarity) for data from an independent measures design. It focuses on ranks & is used when you have ordinal data.
