Q
Things you must consider when designing an interview
A
- Types of data
- Ambiguity

ALL the same as QUESTIONNAIRES (previously)
2
Q
OTHER additional things you must consider when designing an interview
A
- How structured the interview will be: they can be very informal w few set questions, & new questions being asked depending on P’s previous answers. This gives detailed qualitative data, which may be difficult to analyse. ALTERNATIVELY, they may be more structured, w set questions & closed answers, giving less detail but easier to analyse.
- Using a question checklist - If the interview is structured, a checklist ensures that no questions are left out & questions arent asked twice.
- The behaviour or appearance of the interviewer - this could influence how the P’s react.
