take actions that they believe are in the best interest of their employees. Leader has considerable authority over employees and makes decisions. provide sense of safety.

Employees believe that the business will stand by them and therefore very loyal and will work to ensure that business is a success.
They are very much in control yet guide and support their staff.

Participation encouraged and there is two-way communication with employees. Employees are involved in the business.

A

prefer to have minimal involvement in the day-to-day work of their employees. leaders allow employees to make their own decisions. extreme version of democratic leadership.

Managers delegate all authority and decision-making to employees

Works well with research and design teams or creative fields.

little direction or supervision and no feedback might lead to a lack of confidence, poor decisions and poor motivation as they are never sure if what they are doing is “right”.

A

This means that they can act different ways when needed. The characteristics of the other leadership types are used when necessary.
advantage is: managers change the style to match different circumstances.
