Gene regulation is the process of switching gene expression on and off

A
Regulatory genes are involved in controlling the expression of one or more genes

What are structural genes?
A
Structural genes are any genes that are not regulatory genes. These genes code for proteins that form the cytoskeleton, keratin in hair and nails, tRNAs and rRNAs, enzymes and signalling proteins that control cellular processes other than the expression of genes.
