What is risalah?
Communication between Allah and man in the form of books, angels and prophets
What is a prophet?
A messenger chosen by Allah to teach, guide and train people to follow him
What doe Muslims believe about the messengers of Allah?
They are human and they are not to be worshipped
Why does Allah use prophets?
To worship Allah alone
To give guidance on how to follow Allah
Are the prophets seen as equal?
Yes - none is more significant or important than the others
Why have there been so many prophets?
So that messengers can be sent to different nations at different times to bring people to Allah
Who was the first prophet?
Adam
Who was the last prophet?
Sunni Muslims believe that Muhammad was the last prophet as he is referred to in the Qur’an as the ‘seal of the Prophets’ (Surah 22:41)
What source of authority is there to do with risalah?
Qur’an
Surah 10:47 ‘ANd for every nation is a messenger. So when their messenger comes, it will be judge between them in justice, and they will not be wronged.’
