- DM - developed motor skills/can walk, use simple words, identify those familiar, play social games, throw tantrums, etc.
Early childhood
2-6
- DM - make friends, able to eat with adults at table, become toilet trained.
Late childhood
6-12
- DM - refining reading + writing skills, developing LTM, understanding gender stereotypes, refining motor skills.
Youth
12-18
- DM - level of maturity across PIES, greater independence, more complex relationships, dev of life goals.
Early adulthood
18-40
- DM - building career, choosing life partner, get married/have children, physical peak (20-25) body systems decline after.
Late adulthood
65-death
- DM - change in lifestyle due to financial security + retirement, greater participation in leisure activities, endure grief associated with death of friends, changed living arrangements.
Middle adulthood
40-65
- DM - stability in work + relationships, further development of identity, financial security, physical signs of ageing, menopause, children gain independence + leave home.
