How did the triangular trade work between France, New France and West Indies?

A

France: would send manufactured products to NF and WEST INDIES and would get fur and fish from NF
New France: send agricultural products, timber to WEST INDIES and would get sugar coffee and molasses from WEST INDIES. Also manufactured products from FRANCE
West Indies: would send sugar, coffee, molasses to NF AND FRANCE, got manufactured products from FRANCE and agriculture products from NF

  1. Ships are never empty- always loaded with products that don’t exist in the territory where they are going to
  2. Ships leaving NF and West Indies mostly transport raw materials and production surpluses to France
  3. Ships leaving France for NF and West Indies transport finished products
