Infants: AASCH
Apnea Aspiration Stridor Croup Hoarseness
Take note that approximately 75% of cases of infant stridor are due to: laryngomalacia
Older Children: dysphonia, cough, pharyngitis
Take note that approximately 75% of cases of infant stridor are due to:
Laryngomalacia.
Incidence of GER is 90% in these infants.
Co existence of GER and laryngomalacia is not surprising, but unclear whether it is coincidental or reflects a predisposition.
