In an effort to track the completion of tasks, officers and incident commanders should announce __________________ over the FG channel.
Tactical Benchmarks
Every arriving company shall announce “__ ______” on the FG channel, AND announce any deviation being made from from established operating procedure.
On Scene Ensures all units in route, and those operating remotely, that units are on scene and ready to operate.
Lightweight Construction or Dimensional Lumber
Announced by the first in heavy rescue company when examining an inspection or inside the front door or other area.
Water on the Fire
Announced by the first engine applying water to the fire.
Primary Search - All Clear
Announced for each area where a primary search is completed (fire area, fire floor, floor above, etc). Also announced by IC on status updates
Fire Under Control
Announced by the Engine Co officer when the fire is under control. Also announced by the IC on status updates Forward progress of the fire has been stopped, and the remaining fire can be extinguished with the on scene resources. It does not mean the fire is completely out.
Secondary Search - All Clear
Announced by companies for each area where a secondary search is completed. Also announced by IC on status updates
Fire Out
Announced by IC during status updates.
PAR (Personal Accountability Report)
Initiated by IC or OPs Chief when fire is under control, and as indicated in Accountability Procedures.
All Clear - Remove SCBA
Announced on the FG channel by IC once air monitoring is complete, and it is safe to remove SCBA.
