What is PM e-Vidya ?
It is a comprehensive initiative which unifies all efforts related to digital/online/on-air education to enable multi-mode access to education
DIKSHA ?
Diksha portalwill enable, accelerate and amplify solutions in realm of teacher education. It will aid teachers to learn and train themselves for which assessment resources will be available
TV ?
One Class One Channel — Here one dedicated channel per grade for each of classes 1-12 will provide access to quality educational material
SWAYAM ?
Online courses in MOOCS format for school and higher education
IITPAL ?
This is to help IIT JEE / NEET preparation
DAISY ?
Digitally Accessible Information System – study material for differently abled in sign language on NIOS website/Youtube
What initiative is included in PM e-Vidya ?
Manodarpan initiative – Launched to provide psychological support to students, teachers and families for mental health and emotional well being through a website, toll-free helpline, national directory of counsellors, interactive chat platform etc
What mission is introduced under PM e-Vidya ?
National Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Mission — For ensuring that every child in the country necessarily attains foundational literacy and numeracy. This covers learning needs of nearly 4cr children in the age group of 3 to 11 yrs
Other steps taken by Govt ?
1) Expanding e-learning in higher education
2) Top 100 universities will start online courses full fledged
3) Online component in conventional Universities to be raised from 20% to 40%
