- Hydraulic Synoptic Page…..Select
- Fluid quantities/temperatures…Check
- Pump 3A pressure….Check
- Pump 3A Switch….OFF
- Pump 3B Switch….ON (Check 3A pump outlineis white)
- Pump 1B and 2B…..ON (Check that Hyd 1 and Hyd 2 Lo Press caution out)
- 1B, 2B, 3B……Auto
- 3A….ON
- EICAS page…Select
Ice Detector….Test
-Check ICE caution
Emer LTS Panel…..Test
- EMER Lts switch….OFF (EMER LTS OFF caution)
- EMER Lts…..ON (Check lights on and EMER LTS ON status message)
- EMER LTS swtich…ARM (Check lights are off, EMER LTS on status msg out)
Glareshield
- Master Warning Caution…Press Out
- Baro knobs….Set
- Speed knob…Set
- Alt knob…Preselected altitude
Anti-Skid switch….armed
Check that no A/SKID INBD/OUTBD cautions are on
MLG overheat detection system….checked
- Select OVHT and HOLD (Check MLG BAY OVHT warning on, “Gear Bay OVHT” aural message)
- Select FAIL (Check MLG OVHT FAIL caution message on)
Thrust Reverser Panel
-Select ARM (Chekck L/R Armed and no Unlock caution)
Stall protection system…Check
- Stabalizer trim switch…Select to NOSe DN and hold until trim is 0 units
- Flight controls page…Select
- Pusher Switches…on
- SPS L/R switches…Test and Hold (Check stall fail caution)
- SPS test indicators verify (check that both test indicator needles sweep counter clockwise passed the red region and then clockwise back to the red region)
- Ignition A,B, Cont ON lights
- Ignition A,B advisory messages
- Within Yellow region stick shakers
- Within Red region pusher, stall lights, stall aural warning
- Pilots switch press,release,
- Copilot’s switch press (should pull), release
- check elevator against forward stop
- G Switch Press/Release
- SPS switches release (check Stall Fail caution out, pusher deactivated, shakers deactivated, Ignition out, stall lights out, aural warning stops).
Pax and Mission Crew Oxygen….On/Check
Oxygen supply, pressure and quantity are sufficient. OXY LO PRESS caution message out.
Complete audio check by:
- Push OXY MIC switch/light
- Don headset
- Ensure overhead speakers are off
- Push Emergency button and check oxygen flow is heard over headset
Tuning Inhibit switches…Press Out
604 RTU and FMS inhibit 605 CDU and MFD Tune Inhibit
CVR
Test-Press and Hold Test
Electrical Power Panel
Check- BATT MASTER switch - ON APU GEN switch - AS REQ GEN 1 and 2 - OFF/RESET Switch/lights - Check/All lights out
Start/Ignition Panel
Check-
L and R ENG START switch/lights - OFF
IGNITION A, B, CONT switch/lights - OFF
Fuel Panel
Check
BOOST Pump switch/lights - Check/INOP lights on
X/FLOW swtich/lights - Press Out/OFF
TAIL TANK TXFR/DUMP switch/lights - Press OUT/OFF
EICAS page - Check tank quantities and balance
Air-Conditioning Panel
Check CKPT mode selector - NORM CABIN mode selector - NORM RAM AIR switch/light - Check/pressed out Temp Cntls - AS REQ
Cabin Pressurization Panel
Check
EICAS page Check - diff 0, cab alt=field elevation, rate of climb 0
MAN ALT - Centered
MAN RATE - Full decrease
Press Cont switch/light - Pressed out (Man light out)
EMER Depress switch/light - Pressed out (On light out)
Auto pressure controller - Set field elev, baro, rate
Bleed Air Panel
Check
14th Stage L/R - Pressed in, closed light out
14th Stage ISOL - Pressed out, open light out
10th Stage L/R - Pressed out, open light out
Anti-Ice Panel
Check Wing Switch - Off L/R HEAT - Lights out COWL switch/lights - Check pressed out WSHLD/WIND and Probes switches
Air Data/Altimeter
Set

Audio Control Panel - As Req

VIB switch Select to Test, Check the following;
VIB icon displayed on N2 gauges or adjacent to N2 readout, FAN VIB readout of 3.5 +/- .1 mils of VIB icon displayed on N1 gauges in compressed display format.
Aural Warning System Check
Complete
Select to 1 and release, Select to 2 and release. (reselection cancels the aural messages)
Stall Protection System Check
Complete Stab Trim - Full Nose down Flight Controls Page - Select Pusher Switches - On SPS TEST L/R - Test and Hold -Ignition A/B and Cont ON lights come on -Ign A/B Green Advisory come on -Stick Shaker in Yellow -Pusher, Aural, and lights in red Pilot A/P disc switch - Pusher deactivated Pilot A/P disc switch - release Repeat with CP Flight Controls - Check Elevator full forward G-Switch - Same as autopilot

Flight Control Trim Systems Check
Complete
CH1/MACH TRIM Switch Lights - Press In (2 inop) clacker both sides in both directions
CP Stab TRIM DISC - Press (STAB/MACH TRIM Caut)
Repeat for CH2
Engage both Channels and Mach trim (no caut)
Aileron and Rudder Check both directions
