What is Somatropin?
Synthetic human Growth Hormone made using recombinant DNA technology.
What are the uses of Somatropin?
Treats growth failure in children, Turner syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, HIV-associated wasting, and short bowel syndrome.
How is Somatropin administered?
By subcutaneous injection.
What are the side effects of Somatropin?
Pseudotumor cerebri, slipped capital femoral epiphysis, and risk of asphyxia.
What is Mecasermin?
Recombinant form of IGF-1 (Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1).
What are the uses of Mecasermin?
Used for IGF-1 deficiency unresponsive to GH therapy.
What are the side effects of Mecasermin?
Hypoglycemia, increased liver enzymes, and intracranial hypertension.
What is Desmopressin?
A long-acting synthetic analog of ADH.
What are the clinical uses of Desmopressin?
Treats central Diabetes Insipidus, nocturnal enuresis in children, and post-lumbar puncture headache relief.
What are the side effects of Desmopressin?
Water intoxication, nausea, hyponatremia, and hypotension.
What is Felypressin?
A vasopressor used in local anesthesia.

Conivaptan and Tolvaptan, used to treat SIADH.
