Broad topic - mind maps to see how everything interrelates
3) Attention on topic determines how well knowledge is retained e.g. researching etymology, detailed explanations

A
Undergrad = theory based -> mixture of rote learn/flashcards/mind maps Postgrad = strong clinical focus -> adapting to that setting, enhanced focus on anatomy
