Who does the BSB handbook apply to?
All barristers (i.e practising barristers, pupils, and unregistered barristers)
European lawyers registered as such by the BSB and by an Inn but only in connection with professional work in E+W
Bodies authorised/licensed (BSB entitites)
Individuals authorised to provide reserved legal activities where employed by a BSB authorised person
All managers of BSB entities
Owners of a BSB entity, where applicable
In regards to disqualification from relevant activities, any non-authorised individuals employed by a BSB person
Re section on call, individuals who wish to be called to the Bar
If pupil of an employed barrister (non-authorised body), or of a manger/employee of a BSB entity, or of a manger/employee of an authorised (non-BSB) entity, or spending a period of external training with a BSB entity or authorised (non-BSB entity), how will the handbook apply to you?
As if you were an employee of the barrister or body concerned.
What should the barrister consider when considering whether to give media comment?
