Factory system
Important components which drive industrialization, method of production on a mass scale by large companies/corporations (used machines and many workers)
The Bessemer System
Specific type of factory system specifically focused on increasing steel production
Child labour
Employment of children which increases with industrialization-terrible working conditions, long hours, little pay
Use of canals and river systems (significance and difficulties)
Useful for bypassing long routes and carrying heavy loads, however cant be built everywhere and seasonal (water freezing in winter)
Refrigerated car (significance)
Allowed food (meats etc.) to be kept good for longer during transportation, could be transported further distances, could have specific locations dedicated to different types of farming (because importation from other areas was easier)
