- demographics- age, sex
- social structure- community, resources,
- your belief of what health is- if you don’t think smoking is unhealthy
Health risk characterisitic: Enabling characteristic- what is it?
Those things around you- resources available to you. Do your surroundings have healthy attributes (or do you live in food desert? for ex)
Health risk characteristic: Need factors
specific illness or needs that drive person to search for healthcare

social forces, perhaps they can be mitigated by social forces too? not completely but perhaps improved.
