3. International Economy Collapse (Germany to Britain and France who could not pay back the united states, people don’t have money) - A perfect storm where every part of the U.S. (and the world) economy was threatened

- The battle that followed Pearl Harbor (Jun 4, 1942 – June 7, 1942)
- US broke Jap codes (MAGIC)
- If Japan took Midway, it would secure a defensive perimeter that Japan could use to take countries hostage and force a favorable peace agreement
- The U.S. won and controlled the Pacific, forcing Japan to be on the defensive.
