The British captured ‘the aud’ off the coast of Kerry , the ship was carrying arms and ammunition for the rising

Eoin macneill realised the castle document was forged and cancelled the rising , the IRB went ahead with the rising on Easter Monday (because pearse believed in ‘blood sacrifice)

Volunteers and citizens took over the GPO,the four courts and many other public buildings in Dublin,
Pearse read the proclamation of the Irish republic at the steps of the GPO

Extra British soldiers came through ports like dun loaghaire
By the evening Britsh soildiers outnumbered the rebels by 5000

The gun boat Helga sailed up the Liffey and shot at the GPO and other buildings the rebels occupied
