Engine Fire or Failure in Flight

A
  • I have control
  • Get other crew to identify failed engine
  • confirm failure with gauges
  • ask them to confirm autofeather
  • if negative, Phase 1 straight away
  • if positive auto feather, climb to safety
They call actions, you confirm. 
Phase 1
1. Condition Lever. Fuel Cutoff
2. Prop Lever. Feather
3. Firewall Fuel Valve. Pull closed 
4. Fire Extinguisher if required
