The inefficient distribution of goods and services

Countries have set quotas on carbon emissions. To exceed these a country must buy permits from other countries. There should be an incentive to invest in more green technologies but there isn’t

1 unit = two tonnes of emissions
Overseas permits are cheap
Agriculture is not included in the bill so this hurt NZ
What is the carbon tax? How does it work?
A tax on carbon usage. An increased carbon price decreases its demand and decreases total carbon emissions

It should occur within ecological limits
