The active site is if the enzyme is changed slightly to better fit the substrate after the substrate binds
Describe the substrate affinity for the enzyme
High affinity for the active site, so there’s a better chance of combing
Endyme affinity to the product
Low affinity for the active site, so the products are released
Substrate concentrations affect on enzyme activity
As the substrate concentration increases, the enzyme reaction increases until all the active sites are occupied by the substrate. When all active sites are occupied, the enzyme is saturated
